Ministry Teams

At West Ridge, we are committed to the biblical picture of the church as a body, where each part is unique and has a distinct purpose. Our vision is to help everyone at West Ridge embrace their passions and discover their gifts and talents for serving God - and then help match each person with a Ministry Team that's fulfilling for them and beneficial to others.

Ministry Teams are small groups of people who serve together in a particular area of ministry at the church. Not only do these teams give people a way to connect with one another, but they also help people grow in their faith. 

There are many Ministry Teams at West Ridge. The strength of this community comes from the teams who serve together to serve and make a difference in the lives of others.

If you would like to find a place to volunteer, West Ridge is definitely the place for you! Some service opportunities include:

Guest Services
Help on Sunday morning hospitality roles such as greeting, ushering, coffee & refreshments or serving communion.

Parking Team
Getting those cars in and out of the parking lot is an important work.  There is a place for you if you like the "hands-on" kind of work.

Worship Team
Vocal and instrumental teams sing and play each week for the worship services.  Skills are important and having a heart to serve is a key.

Compassion Team
Help meet emergency or compassion needs such as providing meals, hospital visits, prayer, or helping someone do an odd job at their home. 

Kid's Crossing
The ministry for kids from birth to 6th grade is one of the biggest ministries at West Ridge.  There are many families with kids and those kids would love to have you be a part of their lives by investing as a teacher, helper, check-in volunteer, or one of the many other tasks in Kids' Crossing.

Tech Team
Each week a team of volunteers help with the Sunday morning services by working at the sound and light boards, and by running cameras and computers for our presentation.  These teams support our worship & teaching teams.

Candle Ministry                                                                                                                                                       The stunning visual that greets us each week when we walk into the auditorium is no accident.  Volunteers work hard each week to set candles and design the stage to give a look of reverence and meditation.  Join the Candle Ministry and be a part of making our place of worship truly awe-inspiring.

WRCC Student Life                                                                                                                                                 You can choose to serve in Apex, our Junior High Ministry - or Summit, our High School Ministry.   From 6th grade up to Senior Year of high school, we have many students who need mentors and small group leaders.  Often they get to know Jesus by seeing Him in you!  So, if you want to serve this exciting age group and help our next generation to know Jesus and walk closely with him, please contact ed@westridgechurch.net for more information.  There are many families with students, and those students would love to have you be a part of their lives.
